The 'D' day...

Today was the 'D' day... yes it was dhal vada day... It all started when the dye mama asked the mess mami to prepare dhal vada on last sunday... Whenever anything related to food is discussed our kichA's ears become very sharp... so on sunday he dragged me to the mess at 7 P.M saying that they will be serving dhal vada... but to his disappointment there was no dhal vada in the mess... our Kicha was totally dejected and had only two unlimited meals in the mess... it was a major loss to the mess as kicha would have had two more meals had there been a dhal vada in the mess... somehow mess mama smelled this and made sure that mess mami prepared dhal vada on monday...

As usual Kicha dragged me into the mess sharp at 9 and when he saw the dhal vada... oh boy!!! he went real crazy and started eating everything that came across the table... after his hour long arduous work in the table his plate was looking more like a battlefield... then i had to drag him out of his chair as he could not move around after the fourth meal...

Our very own dye mama was seated at the cash counter, sporting a mischievous grin he handed over the bill... Kicha almost fainted after looking at the bill... The price of one vada was 7 rupees... and the vada was of the size of a one rupee coin...

I knew that making a dhal vada was not such a big art and the cost for a piece of vada will not cross 50 n.p. So i decided to prepare the dish at Kicha's place... I was waiting the whole week for the 'D' day... and the 'D' day it was...

I woke up at 6 a.m (ya!! you read it right...) and went to Kicha's house... thalaivar had was wasted the whole night in updating his useless blog with some imaginary stuff and was sleeping like a kumbakarn... i asked him if he had bought all the items required for dhal vada... he gave an ugly smile and asked me to get the things... In indore the shops remain closed at least till 10 am... so i had to wait till 10 am and finally i got the things required for dhal vada... but there was no mixer grinder at Kicha's place... he went to the neighbours house to deltafy the mixer, This was something new that he did today... generally he only deltafies food items... so the neighbour asked as to why he requires mixer... Kicha full of confidence proclaimed that he is going to make dhal vada...

Glossary:
dye mama :An old guy in the mess that i dine... who will go to any end to drive us away from the mess... if any one says something good about a dish... he will immediatley double the price of that item the very next day... such a crazy money minded @$$h0#e...

mess mami: A octagenerian cook in the mess...

Team Meetings...

I wonder who invented the concept of 'Team Meeting'. If i get hold of him i will make him watch all the recent bollywood movies in line until he dies of boredom. Team meetings are supposed to be conducted to arrive at a conclusion... to decide something... but today team meeting are called in as and when a manager is bored of browsing through all the bollywood gossips in the net... I met people who come at 10A.M into the office... have a breakfast meeting till 11... then a coffee brak meeting in the lounge till 11:30... a team lunch at 12:00... another couple of meetings at 2:00 P.M and 5 P.M and to top it all a status call at 6:00 P.M to discuss what was "achieved" on such an eventful day...

If we can cutshort the number of managers in a software industry and cutshort the number of team meetings in a day... the revenue of any software company can be doubled in every two months...

I am feeling bored.... Its time to call a team meeting :)
